DALE WEINGARTEN — General Manager and NJ Lacrosse Academy Director
Committed to lacrosse since childhood, Dale’s lifetime passion for the sport is the “home field advantage” he brings to training and inspiring young players.
Growing up on Long Island—a hotbed for lacrosse long before its national popularity today—Dale progressed from the youth leagues to Brentwood Sonderling High School, where he advanced under renowned Hall of Fame coach Bob Hoppey. After excelling as a four-year varsity starter at Rutgers University, Dale continued his career as an All-Star in the Central Atlantic Lacrosse League.
While devoting himself to his two lacrosse-playing sons and wife Cheryl, Dale has actively stayed in the game. He has played an integral role in bringing lacrosse to its present level of prominence on the Bergen County scholastic scene, where it was practically non-existent a decade ago. Along the way, he has helped nurture a generation of youth and high school players as volunteer coach and clinician, including serving as an assistant varsity coach at lacrosse powerhouse Bergen Catholic High School.
With over 35 years of across-the-board experience, Dale’s vision for lacrosse training at NJ Home Field Advantage is to guide and develop every young player through their formative years following the proven principles of sportsmanship, integrity, accountability and team play.
